SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization, and it can be difficult to master, but here are 10 steps to make your Website on search engine:

  1. Page Name URL:  On top of your Edit Post page, under the Post Title, there is a line that shows the Permalink.  Ex.: Permalink: http://pspsolutions.net/how-to-make-yo…t-seo-friendly/ ?Edit .  Click the Edit Button to shorter the Link.  Make it related to your post subject or your Post Title.  This will help the SSearch Engines find your Pot.  Ex.:  Permalink: http://pspsolutions.net/seo/
  2. Index your Website.  Go to Google Webmaster and ask Google to Index your Website.
  3. Google Analytics:  Make your website trackable.  Allow google to present reports on number of visits, time spent on your website and rebond pourcentage of people who left your website because it did not appear to them as a good search result.  Go to Google/analytic to get started.
  4. Yoast Plugin.  Insert the Pugin called Yoast SEO in WordPress so you can manage Focus Keywors, SEO Title, and Meta description.  Get the Yoast Plugin.  Rename your Pictures with revelant name, related to your Post Subject of the Page Title.  Make sure your also Rename the alternate name on every pictures inserted in your Page or Post.
  5. Internal Links.  Make some Links to other pages o your Website.  This will allow users to navigate on your website.  It will help establish information hierarchy for your website.  It will also help spread link juice (ranking power) around your websites.
  6. Google Sitemap.  Build your Site Map Online.  Go to XML-Sitemaps.com and enter your full website URL and some optional parameters in the form.
  7. Have a Blog.  Post are there to create New Conten on your Website.  This will give Google new information to put its teeth on.
  8. Make your Website Responsite.  Since APril 2015, Google prioritize Website that are Mobile Friendly, Since more that 50% of searches are made from a mobile device.
  9. Loading Speed: No matter how you measure it, a faster page speed is better. Many people have found that faster pages both rank and convert better.  See this arcticle about Website speed.
  10. Cannot have Flash. Flash content is fundamentally different from HTML on webpage URLs, and being able to parse links in the Flash code and text snippets does not make Flash search-engine friendly. See this article about Flash an SEO.
